Joe Biden wins at Wisconsin.
Republican President Donald Trump lost in Wisconsin for the first time since 1984 in the last election by a very narrow margin.
However, the results now show that Wisconsin voters, by an almost identical margin, have backed Democrat Joe Biden.
From here, the end result of this turbulent election now depends on other key states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia.
Pennsylvania’s risk to markets is that the count won’t be around for some time, possibly on Friday.
Michigan will also be challenged so Trump has already filed a lawsuit to stop the voting.
As of this moment, the most reasonable scenario appears to be a narrow victory for Biden, as the counts keep coming in, tipping the balance of the Electoral College vote in favor of the Democratic Party.
The latest projections at 17:10 GMT showed that with 440 electoral votes allocated, Biden had 227 and Trump has 21 of the 270 needed to win the presidency, according to Edison Research.
