The American president Joe Biden stated on Monday 26/2 that he is hopeful that a ceasefire will be agreed and implemented in Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas “until next Monday” March 4th.
At the same time, negotiations continue to conclude an agreement that will include in particular the release of hostages of the military arm of the Palestinian Islamist movement.
“My national security adviser Jake Sullivan tells me we're close, but we're not done yet,” the US president told reporters during a visit to attend a political event in New York.
“I hope that by next Monday, we will have a ceasefire” added Joe Biden as reported by the Athens News Agency citing AFP and Reuters.
