United States President Joe Biden gave a farewell speech in the Oval Office this Wednesday (15) as he prepares to end his term next week.
This is the fifth time that Biden has addressed the nation from the Oval Office, having last given a speech on July 24, when he announced that he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.
The speech comes after Biden secured a ceasefire agreement in Gaza this Wednesday, 466 days after Hamas led an attack on Israeli civilians on October 7.
In the speech, the president is expected to describe his legacy in his personal vision and highlight the achievements of his administration, including stimulating post-pandemic security, financing infrastructure and investing in clean energy.
