According to CNN and PeopleAmazon founder Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend, former journalist Lauren Sánchez, have gotten engaged.
Apparently, Lauren would have revealed her engagement ring during the Cannes Film Festival while being photographed with her partner when they attended the film’s premiere Killers of the Flower Moon.
According to a source close to the couple, the businessman and the Emmy Award-winning journalist got engaged last weekend while vacationing in the south of France.
Jeff and Lauren, born into a Mexican-American family in Albuquerque, New Mexico, went public with their relationship in 2019. However, they have kept their romance away from cameras and scandals.
Jeff and Lauren met after the businessman announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott, with whom he has four children and was married for 25 years.
Right at the time, Lauren was going through a divorce from her then-husband Patrick Whitesell, with whom she was married for 13 years and had two children. It is worth mentioning that Lauren has a third child, the product of a previous relationship with Tony González, a former American footballer.
At the moment, neither Jeff nor Lauren have made their commitment public and it is not known if the plans have already begun or if there will be a monetary agreement in between to prevent any future situation.
