Japanese man who spent BRL 70,000 to “transform” himself into a dog takes his 1st walk; look

Toco, the Japanese man who spent more than R$70,000 on a hyper-realistic dog costume, took his first walk in public wearing the costume. In a video published on social networks, he draws the attention of the public through the streets of Japan.

In May 2022, Toco acquired the British collie costume for US$15,000 (about R$71,000) from Zeppet Workshop, a Japanese studio known for its hyper-realistic costumes.

When parading in public, Toco caught the attention of the public – who stopped to pet him and take pictures with him – in addition, of course, to the dogs themselves. One of them, accompanied by a couple, got scared by the presence of the collie.

Toco’s tour was accompanied by a team from the German TV station RTL. The video posted on the Japanese YouTube channel, “I Want to Be an Animal”exceeds 750 thousand views.

In January of this year, another Japanese, whose identity has not been revealed, spent more than R$120,000 to look like a white wolf.

According to Zeppet Workshop, the costume cost 3 million yen and took 50 days to make.

Anonymously, the customer manifested himself through the company’s website and justified the request by his love for animals.
