Calbee, one of the leading snack manufacturers in Japan, is launching an advertising campaign “Chips-NFT” for the distribution of collectible tokens on the Astar blockchain.

Buyers of Usu-Shio, Consomme-Punch or Nori-Shio chips will be able to participate in a game called Ori-pake and receive free Potato-NFTs.

The game requires participants to follow the instructions on the packaging to fold the package like origami and then confirm completion of the challenge by scanning it using the Calbee Lbee Program smartphone app. When users collect five NFTs, they can become characters in the Jagaverse virtual world. The grand winner will receive some kind of golden emblem and six free bags of chips.

“Calbee chips are perhaps the most consumed in Japan, and I’m sure everyone knows the product. Through the promotional campaign, I would like to create a future in which the Japanese use Astar Network,” said Astar Network CEO Sota Watanabe.

Potato chip lovers have until May 31st to join the campaign.
