Janice Burgess the creator of “The Backyardigans” , died at age 72 . The news was released this Monday (04) and the cause of death has not yet been revealed. The American screenwriter and producer was responsible for creating the children's cartoon that ran from 2004 to 2013.

The death information was shared by Fracaswell Hyman , a professional colleague. In an Instagram post, he wrote: “I met Janice Burgess early in my career when I was head writer on GULLAH GULLAH IsLAND and she was assigned to be our executive in charge of production. This is the person the network sends to the mix to ensure the money isn’t wasted.”
