To “ABC News”, the filmmaker also highlighted the parallels between the implosion and the sinking of the “Titanic”, in 1912.

“I am struck by the similarity of the Titanic disaster itself, where the captain was repeatedly warned of ice ahead of his ship and yet he sailed at full speed through an ice field, on a moonless night and many people died. as a result”.

“And with a very similar tragedy, where warnings were ignored, and which happened to occur in the same exact location, even with so many dives happening across the world, I think it’s just astounding. It’s really surreal.”
