Teams from the government of Mato Grosso do Sul are mobilized to locate the jaguar who would have attacked and killed the homemade Jorge Avalo, 60, in the Mata de Taurus Dead (MS) region, about 230 km from Campo Grande.
He was killed on Monday (21) and his body was located on Tuesday (22).

The operation to seek the animal has the technical support of Gediendson Ribeiro de Araújo, researcher at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) and specialist in jaguar management.

Jorge was attacked while trying to collect honey on a deck near the woods last Monday (21). Residents of the region report that the attack was sudden and that a man who located the victim found Blood marks and traces of the presence of the animal.
