The Australian actor JACOB ELORDI 27, stated that his castmate, the young man Owen Cooper 15, was “intimidating” in the recordings of the new adaptation of “O Morro dos Ventos howling” which will be released by Netflix in 2026.
In the production, based on British writer Emily Brontë’s classic, Jacob plays Heathcliff in adulthood, while Owen brings to life the youngest version of the character. The boy achieved world success after starring in Netflix’s “Adolescence” miniseries as a student accused of murdering a classmate.
In an interview with Australian 10 News First broadcaster, Jacob had no praise for his colleague. “He is a rock star. He is brilliant and he is intimidating.”
The star of “Saltburn” (2023) also recalled the first meeting between the two on the set. “I think the first time I met him, I asked, ‘You’re nervous, man?’, And he replied, ‘No’. And I thought, ‘Cool… I don’t, I don’t seriously, he’s a tremendous actor.”
The new version of “O Morro dos Ventos howling” features the direction of Emerald Fennell, Oscar’s winner for “Beautiful Revenge” (2020), and brings Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw.
