20 years after the launch of “Rock School” one of the most memorable films of the early 2000s, Jack Black he said he was ready to make a continuation of the story.
In an interview with variety, the actor stated that the sequel would need Mike White , responsible for the script for the first film. “I wish there was 'Escola de Rock 2: Boogalo Elétrico'. I’m ready”, he assured.
“Mike White wrote the first one and he's a genius. We would need to have him back for the sequel, but at the moment he is busy with 'White Lotus', the best series on television,” he added.
Directed by Richard Linklater, The film tells the story of Dewey Finn, a rock guitarist who is fired from his band. Unemployed, he decides to pose as a substitute teacher at a prestigious school, to form a band with the students and win a competition.
