The Ministry of Foreign Affairs temporarily transferred, this Friday (4), the Brazilian Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, to Chisinau, Moldova. The Brazilian ambassador Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta already accumulated the function for both countries.
According to the ministry, the measure took place “with the objective of expanding the operation of the post on the routes most used by Brazilians when leaving Ukrainian territory.”
Brazilians in Kiev can continue to look for employees at the embassy. Entities in Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia are also operating with support centers.
The consular service post in the Ukrainian city of Lviv, which remains in operation, as well as the body’s task force to support Brazilian citizens in the conflict zone will be coordinated by the Brazilian ambassador in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lineu Pupo de Paula , which was temporarily moved.
