Italy is trying to put a “Block” on precision – Holds prices in supermarkets for three months

The Italian trade association Confcommercio underlined that “with a spirit of cooperation and reducing the profit margins of its members, it supports this whole initiative, with the aim of protecting the purchasing power of the country’s households, but everyone must make a substantial effort”.

The consumer association Assoutenti also added, as reported by the Athens News Agency, that it is likely to take legal action against food industries that do not want to sign the agreement to hold down their prices, in order to establish whether a cartel has been created. Finally, it is recalled that the government of Georgia Meloni, since last July, has also approved aid for the poorest families, with a “prepaid shopping card in supermarkets” which contains a total of 382 euros.
