In the last 24 hours in Italy, 12,764 cases of coronavirus were recorded, with 89 deaths. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 5,028,547 infections in the country and 133,828 people have lost their lives.
In total, 719,972 diagnostic tests were performed today, 1.8% of which were positive. In the intensive care unit of Italy the number of patients with Covid-19 is 683, while in the hospital wards it is 5,227.
In the meantime, after Rome and Milan, it was decided in Turin that in the streets of the city center and in all open spaces where there is congestion, citizens should wear a protective mask.
The Draghi government, according to the media, despite the initial intentions to the contrary, has finally decided not to proceed with the change of the regulation for schools for the time being. According to the newspaper La Repubblica, in order to activate distance learning, it will not be enough to have one Covid-19 case in each class, but the minimum number of three cases remains in force.
Finally, it is confirmed that from December 15, the mandatory vaccination of teaching staff and administrators working in schools, members of the police and military forces and the administrative staff of hospitals will begin. Health workers in Italy are already required to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
