Italian meteorologists: from July 15 we will face a new, more intense heat wave

From July 15 Italy will be hit by a new, even stronger heat wave, according to meteorological forecasts published in the newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The hottest day is expected to be July 20, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in Rome and Florence and possibly reaching 42 degrees in Sardinia, Sicily and Puglia, in the greater Bari area.

At the same time, it is predicted that this year’s August will be much warmer with average temperatures above those we are used to. “The heat wave, Charon, will last much longer than we thought, with extremely “aggressive” characteristics,” Antonio Sano, director of the weather forecasting site Meteo.it, told Corriere.

According to Sanos, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, the temperature will reach 25 degrees. A new, as well as alarming, record.
