Information has appeared in the open database regarding cars that are planned to be produced under the revived Moskvich brand. The document certifying the conformity of manufactured vehicles with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union (OTTS) was issued for the first models under the names “Moskvich 3” and “Moskvich 3e”. For reference, OTTS (Vehicle Type Approval) gives permission to sell cars on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the countries of the EAEU.
“Moskvich 3” is nothing more than a renamed version of the Chinese crossover JAC JS4. Under the name “Moskvich 3e” is a compact crossover with an electric power plant. Both cars have the same dimensions – 4410 × 1800 × 1660 mm. The wheelbase is 2620 mm, the front track width is 1510 mm, the rear track is 1500 mm. The first model will receive two modifications with petrol engines: 1.5 liter turbocharged (150 hp and 210 Nm), 6-speed manual gearbox or stepless variator, as well as aspirated 1.6 liter (109 hp and 150 Nm) with 6-speed manual gearbox. Moskvich 3e will be equipped with a 50 kW (68 hp) SY Power TZ200XSIEM1 electric motor and a Sinoev 21011S4C4 traction battery with a capacity of 187 Ah. The power reserve will be 410 km. Both models are front-wheel drive.
The documents also indicate that the cars will be produced at the Moscow Automobile Plant Moskvich (formerly Renault Russia), but the industrial partner of the project is KAMAZ. At the first stage, it is planned to release by the SKD method. The full production cycle with welding and body painting is scheduled for 2024.
