Tesla held a Cyber Rodeo event today to celebrate the opening of the Gigafactory Texas plant in Austin. It is this factory that should become the main production facility for the futuristic Cybertruck electric pickup truck.

At the event, the head of the company, Elon Musk, showed another updated version of the Cybertruck, which differs from what was officially shown earlier. Now Cybertruck is much more like a production car – it has got side mirrors and a huge windshield wiper, the shape of the headlights and taillights has changed, the design of the disks, the rear window is now lowered. At the same time, door handles disappeared from the car – a system came from the place that will automatically let the owner in.

Elon Musk also revealed new dates for the start of sales of the long-awaited pickup truck. He apologized for the delays with the release of the Cybertruck, which was first announced back in 2019. Initially, it was planned that Cybertruck would become available in 2021, then the dates were shifted to 2022. Now Musk has promised that sales will begin in 2023.
