The identity of the female soldier who is a hostage in the hands of Hamas was confirmed by Israeli army after the Palestinian Islamist movement’s armed wing released a video showing the young captive.
“We stand wholeheartedly with the Marciano family whose daughter, Noah, was brutally kidnapped by the terrorist organization Hamas“, the Israeli army said in a statement released around midnight, thus confirming – for the first time – the identity of one of the approximately 240 hostages in the Gaza Strip after Hamas attacked Israeli territory on October 7.
Late last night Monday (11/13), the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released a video of the female soldier reading a message in Hebrew, stating her name and military registration number and that she has been held in Gaza for four days .
“A representative of Chahal (s.s. of the Israeli army) went to the home of the family (Marciano) and informed them about the release of the video,” the Israeli armed forces said, accusing Hamas of “continuing to practice psychological terrorism and behave in an inhuman way (by releasing) photos and videos of the hostages.”
“We will use all means (…) to bring the hostages back to their homes“, they added to the text, as reported by the Athens News Agency.
The armed wing of Hamas yesterday accused the Israeli army of “delaying and avoiding” fulfilling the conditions it set for it in negotiations mediated by Qatar. Furthermore, he assured that he is ready to proceed with the release of 70 women and children held hostage in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the declaration of a five-day ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave, with an audio message from Abu Ubaydah’s representative via Telegram.
