An Israeli family will hold a public event this Thursday (18), to mark the first birthday of Kfir Bibas, the youngest hostage kidnapped in Israel on October 7.
The Hostage and Missing Families Forum said the Bibas family “will make an impassioned plea for Kfir’s release, as well as the release of his parents Yarden and Shiri and his older brother Ariel.”
The event will be held in what has come to be known as “Hostages Plaza” [praça dos reféns, em tradução literal]in Tel Aviv, at 3:30 pm local time (10 am Brasília time).
However, it is unclear whether Kfir Bibas is still alive.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in November it was evaluating a claim by Hamas' military wing, the Qassam Brigades, that the child was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Qassam Brigades provided no evidence for its claim.
When asked this Thursday whether there was any conclusion to this investigation, the IDF said it would not comment.
Kfir was taken along with his brother and parents from kibbutz Nir Oz in October.
