The Israeli military exploded several buildings in the Sombled West Bank on Sunday (2) in a series of simultaneous explosions that, according to Palestinian state news agency, destroyed about 20 buildings in the Jenin refugee camp.

Thick and huge clouds were seen rising from the Palestinian city where Israeli forces have been conducting a large operation for almost two weeks, which, according to the military, targets local militants, including the seizure of weapons stocks.

Asked about the simultaneous demolition of buildings in Jenin, a military spokesman said that “several structures used as a terrorist infrastructure” were dismantled.

More details will be released later, said the person.

The Palestinian Authority, rival of Hamas, exercises limited governance on the West Bank, where about 3 million Palestinians live and on which Israel maintains general military control.

The Israeli forces have been involved in shootings with local militants since the operation began. Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday that security forces would remain until the operation was completed, without saying when it would happen.

At least 25 Palestinians have been killed since Israeli military operation began, including nine members of armed groups, a 73 -year -old man and a two -year -old girl, according to Palestinian authorities. The Israeli army says it killed at least 18 militants and detained dozens of sought after individuals.

Dozens of houses and roads were destroyed by Israeli forces in the last campaign. The Palestinian state news agency also said a 27 -year -old man was killed on Sunday by Israeli forces that invaded a refugee camp near Hebron.
