The Israel accused him today World Health Organization for ““unfair collusion” with Hamasarguing that ignored the Israeli evidence that the Palestinian organization was using Gaza hospitals “for terrorist purposes”.
Speaking at the WHO Executive Board session, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Meirav Eilon Sahar, accused Hamas of “militarizing the entire urban area of the Gaza Strip as part of a premeditated strategy.”
“These are indisputable facts, which the WHO has repeatedly chosen to ignore. We are not talking about incompetence here. This is an unfair partnership”he argued.
Al Rantisi, Kamal Adwan, Al Quds, Al Shifa, the Indonesian hospital…
The list goes on. Every single hospital that the IDF searched in Gaza, it found evidence of Hamas terrorist use.
These are undeniable facts that @WHO chooses to ignore time and time again.

In each of the hospitals searched by the Israeli army in Gaza, aevidence that they were being used by Hamas “for terrorist purposes”, she also said in a post on the X platform. According to the ambassador, the WHO “knew that the hostages were being held in hospitals and that the terrorists were operating there.” “Even when he was presented with tangible evidence of what was going on, underground and on the surface, the weapons, the general staffs, the closed rooms, the WHO has chosen to turn a blind eye, endangering those it is supposed to protect.” he continued.
Earlier today, as APE-MPE notes, the director general of the WHOTedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, spoke at the organization's meeting, with tears in the eyes, on the situation in Gaza. In a post on Platform X he wrote that “a ceasefire should have been implemented a long time ago”, adding: “The solution exists. Only the will is needed. Let us choose peace.”
The ceasefire in #Gaza is long overdue.

Sahar said Hamas members launched attacks from the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip and that the army found five hostages there, dead, in an underground tunnel. He claimed that on October 7, some hostages were taken from the main entrance to Radisi Children's Hospital and held in its basement. At the Camal Antoine hospital, “80 terrorists surrendered to the soldiers and weapons were found hidden in incubators,” he complained.
To date the WHO has not confirmed Israel's accusations of building tunnels under the hospitals and using them as Hamas command centers. A spokesman for the organization when asked about this on December 21, said that the WHO is “not in a position to verify how each hospital is being used” as its role is “to monitor, analyze and report”.
“We are not a research agency,” Richard Pipercorn, the WHO representative in the occupied Palestinian territories, said at the time.
