Israel attacks kill more than 40 people in displaced fields in Gaza

Palestinian health officials reported on Wednesday that an Israeli air strike to a tent camp that housed displaced families in Khan Youis in the southern Gaza Strip killed at least 10 people.

A video obtained by Reuters shows the fire burning on displaced Palestinian tents, while members of the Civil Defense and other people were trying to rescue injured victims from the attack.

Doctors said military attacks throughout the territory killed at least 35 Palestinians on Wednesday.

Another air strike killed 10 people, including Fatema Hassouna, a well -known writer and photographer who had documented the war.

The others were deaths in separated military attacks in other regions.

More than 400,000 Palestinians were displaced since the restart of hostilities on March 18, after two months of relative calm, according to UN Humanitarian Agency, OCHA, and Israeli aerial attacks killed at least 1,630 people.

Israel launched his war in Gaza in response to Hamas’s attack south of Israel in October 2023, which killed 1,200 people and hostages, according to Israeli data.

The offensive killed at least 51,000 Palestinians, according to local health officials, and devastated the coastal territory, forcing most of the population to move several times and reducing regions in rubble.
