The number of so-called active cases of the new coronavirus in Israel has reached a record level, at 106,107, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday, Saturday.
The previous national record (95,583) was recorded on August 31, 2021, according to the same source.
The number of SARS-CoV-2 cases confirmed in 24 hours broke a record for the fourth consecutive day, reaching 18,780, bringing the total to 1,483,175.
However, no patient deaths were reported due to complications of COVID-19, with the pandemic death toll remaining at 8,259.
The number of patients admitted to hospitals in serious condition increased to 172 (+29 in 24 hours).
The virus replication index (R0) decreased marginally, from 1.96 to 1.95. It did not exceed 0.73 at the beginning of November.
