An 84-year-old woman fell dead from the attacks by an unknown person on a central street of Holon (a suburb of Tel Aviv), as announced by the Israeli police, who have launched a manhunt to locate the perpetrator.
“We know the identity of the suspect and are searching the area to locate him”police chief Kobi Sabtai told Israeli television.
Police appealed to the public to help identify Palestinian Musa Jarzour, 28, from Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank, releasing a photograph of the suspect. According to Israeli media, it is about Palestinian who was working at a construction site in the area.
Since last March, anti-Jewish attacks have claimed the lives of 20 people. Since then, the Israeli military has multiplied its operations in the West Bank, particularly in Nablus and Jenin where Palestinian armed groups are active. The military operations, which often escalate into widespread clashes with Palestinian protesters, have caused dozens of casualties on the Palestinian side and led to the arrest of more than 1,500 people, according to Israel’s army chief of staff, Aviv Kohavi.
