Actress Isis Valverde vented on her Instagram this Thursday (29) about the comments made on the internet about her and her mother, and the judgment they receive for some attitudes that people do not consider “appropriate for their age”.
The actress told about when she turned 36 and read messages from people criticizing her way of being.
“I felt pushed and pressured when I turned 36. I felt judged, the clothes I wore, the way I carried myself, saying I’m too old for that. The clothes I wear, the way I dance… people say I’m too old for being 36,” she began.
In addition, the artist came out in defense of her mother, Rosalba Nable (60) after the pedagogue assumed a relationship with a younger man.
“This became a recurring situation in my mother’s life and I decided to talk about it […] my mother is going to be 60 years old, she is totally free, an independent, self-possessed, single woman who decided to have a boyfriend and that boyfriend was put in the place of a baby and not a man by her side. ‘There, so many years younger’. And? There are so many boxes and rules for us women, are we going to have this one more? The people who make these stories on the internet are not right. Think before saying things, think if you can’t disturb someone’s relationship, destroy someone else’s happiness”, asked Isis.
Then, Valverde pointed out the judgment that older women suffer when appearing in a bikini on social networks, or public places.
“We are talking about happiness, about love, love is free. To love there is no rule. My mom also started wearing a bikini and was judged for it. And? It’s a sin? Being on the beach in a bikini at 60 sunbathing with your friend? It really hurt me,” she vented.
Finally, the actress even commented on her therapy, and that it helps her to deal with the comments and age judgments that are made with her and her family. However, Isis questioned people who do not have this support and the effect that these actions can have on them.
