“Iron Man” actress criticizes too many hero films

The American actress Gwyneth Paltrow , 51 years old, criticized the excess of superhero films being made in Hollywood. Paltrow played the character Pepper Potts in “Iron Man “, from Marvel.

“If you look at the industry as a whole, there is a lot of pressure to have superhero movies,” he said.

For her, the search for this type of production by increasingly larger audiences could compromise the quality of the product.

“You can only make so many films that feel really original, and even then, they're always trying to reach as many people as possible, which sometimes hurts the quality.”

The statement was given in an interview with Hot Ones, which had video published on Youtube last Thursday (21).

Paltrow also commented on the character she played in the Iron Man film franchise.

Pepper Potts was initially Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) assistant, but she marries him and becomes president of his companies.

Furthermore, the character takes on the role of a hero, with armor based on that of Iron Man in the film “Avengers: Endgame”.

“I'm a little old to get into a uniform [de heroina] at this point in life, but I feel very lucky to have been a part of it. I joined because I was friends with Jon Favreau [diretor do filme]. It was an incredible experience, and I loved seeing how important genre films have become to fans.”
