IPCA-15 slows to 0.13% in July, lowest monthly change since 2020, says IBGE

Considered an “official inflation preview”, the IPCA-15 (Extended National Consumer Price Index-15) decelerated to 0.13% in July compared to June, informed the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). ) this Tuesday (26). This is the lowest monthly variation of the IPCA since June 2020 (0.02%).

In the year, the IPCA-15 accumulates a high of 5.79% and, in 12 months, of 11.39%, below the 12.04% registered in the 12 immediately previous months, said the institute. In July 2021, the rate was 0.72%.

There were positive variations in six of the nine groups of products and services surveyed. The biggest individual impact came from long-life milk, which rose 22.27%, influencing the increase in the food and beverage group (1.16%). The biggest change came from the Clothing group (1.39%), which accumulated, in the year, a high of 11.01%.
