Previously, the Infinix Note 12 line of smartphones consisted of four models – Note 12, Note 12 G96, Note 12i and Note 12 VIP. But from today, July 8, this line of devices is expanding to six models, as the manufacturer officially introduced the Note 12 5G and Note 12 Pro 5G gadgets. It should be noted right away that these new products have almost identical characteristics, but the manufacturer has equipped smartphones with different camera systems, plus they have a different amount of memory. For example, the base Note 12 5G smartphone comes with 6 GB of RAM (expandable to 9 GB with virtual memory) and 64 GB of internal memory, while the Pro version is sold with 8 GB of RAM (plus 5 GB of virtual RAM) and 128 GB of internal memory. .

The second important difference between these smartphones is the camera system – the Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G has a 108-megapixel camera as the main image sensor. It is located on a special panel instead of a depth sensor and a 2 MP macro camera. The base model Note 12 5G has a more modest main camera – only 50 megapixels, plus there is the same 2 megapixel depth sensor and an “artificial intelligence lens”. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet provided sample images, so it is difficult to assess the capabilities of these cameras, but, theoretically, the detail will be at a very high level.

In all other respects, the smartphones are literally identical – Note 12 5G and Note 12 Pro 5G are powered by a Dimensity 810 processor, boast a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, Android 12 operating system and proprietary XOS 10.6 firmware on top of it. There is also a 5000 mAh battery and support for fast charging technology – 33 W. Not the fastest charging on the market, but it will be possible to charge a smartphone from 0% to a full battery in about an hour and a half. On the front side of the devices, there is a 16 megapixel front camera, there is a fingerprint scanner on the lock button, and these are the first gadgets in the line with 5G support.

For the basic version of the Infinix Note 12 5G smartphone, the manufacturer asked for about $190, while for a more advanced Note 12 Pro 5G gadget, you will have to pay $230. True, so far the devices are only being sold in India through the large retail chain Flipkart – the release will take place on July 14th. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet announced when the new products will reach other markets.
