Inexpensive next-generation iPhone SE will bring Apple about 15-20 billion dollars in the first year alone

From the looks of it, the already great next-gen iPhone SE is going to be very successful again. Evercore analyst Amit Daryanani is confident that Apple can sell about 35 million of these smartphones in the first year of sales.

With an average sale price of about $450, this will bring the company $15-20 billion in revenue.

By comparison, the original iPhone SE sold 25 million units in its first year, while the previous generation sold 29 million units. The analyst believes the new iPhone SE will surpass that figure for a number of reasons. This is 5G support, and still the minimum price for Apple, and the fact that many iPhone owners have not yet updated from the iPhone 8 era devices.

In light of both the historical patterns associated with previous generations of the iPhone SE and our estimate of current demand for a more affordable iPhone, we believe Apple could generate significant revenue from the new SE, potentially reaching $15 billion or more.
