US Vice President Jay Di Vance arrived in India today for four days dedicated to trade, while New Delhi is trying to negotiate US customs duties on its products. Jay Di Vance’s visit to India, however, is largely private. The US Vice President travels there with his wife, Osa, who was born in California by Indian parents, and their three children. Their visit program includes a visit to Taj Mahal in Agra and a wedding in the city of Jaipur and will depart on Thursday for Washington. The family spent the Easter weekend in Rome, where the US Vice President had a brief meeting with Pope Francis.
