Segmentally, notebook and mobile workstation shipments were up 3% year-on-year to approximately 67.4 million units. Desktop and desktop workstation shipments rose 12% to 16.6 million units.
Canalys estimates that Lenovo shipped 19.773 million personal computers in the quarter, representing 23.5% of the market. A year ago, Lenovo’s performance was 19.291 million units and 24.1%. In second place, HP was the only manufacturer in the top five to cut shipments. A decrease of 5.7% in annual terms led to the fact that the share of HP decreased from 23.3% to 20.9%. Next comes Dell.
