In order to prevent any possibility of a “cap” in the prices of air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers, the services of the Ministry of Development and Investments are already monitoring the prices, while, according to information from ERT, the possibility of joining the provision on profiteering is also being considered for the prices of electrical appliances replacement program devices. That is, as it applies to petrol stations and supermarkets.
The ministry is monitoring the market in detail and it is not excluded, within the next ten days, to bring to vote a provision that will concern electrical goods stores. There will be a limit on the profit margin which should not exceed the margin that businesses had before the platform was opened and in case any business is found to be selling at higher prices than the ceiling, it will be fined and will not be able to receive the subsidy.
