A resident of St. Petersburg tried to exchange rubles for cryptocurrency. However, the exchange failed – he was attacked and the money was taken away.

The victim contacted police on Tuesday evening. He explained that he negotiated the deal via the Internet. Taking a large amount of money – 700 thousand rubles – the man came to a meeting on Lenin Square and got into the car, where he planned to exchange money. However, there the man was attacked with a gas canister and his money was taken away. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating.

In February, it became known that three men who attacked a resident of Omsk and forced him to transfer cryptocurrency for 84 million rubles received terms in a strict regime correctional colony. In March, Irkutsk law enforcement agencies managed to detain a group of people who, according to police, offered to sell and place mining equipment, but then fled with 12 million rubles.
