“I hope that our recent presidential election will be remembered as the greatest and most important election in the history of our country,” Trump said during his inaugural address.
The Republican added that his presidential victory showed that “the entire nation is quickly uniting around our agenda with dramatic increases in support from virtually every element of our society.”
He went on to thank black and Hispanic voters for the “tremendous show of love and trust you showed me with your vote.”
“We set records and I won’t forget them,” said the president. “I heard your voices on the campaign trail and look forward to working with you in the years to come.
