The Financial Service Commission of South Korea (FSC) has achieved the removal of cryptocurrency applications from the Apple Store store for the domestic market, which give access to the services of “unregistered” foreign suppliers.

The regulator’s statement says that Apple complied with the supervisory authorities and blocked the access of South Korean users to applications for 14 “unregistered” foreign suppliers of crypto services, including Kucoin and MexC mobile services.

Previously, similar actions to block the access of South Korea citizens to unwanted cryptocurrency services were carried out in the Google Play app store – they also touched the Kucoin and MexC platforms.

“Foreign virtual assets service operators who want to engage in entrepreneurial activities in South Korea are required to report this to the regulator and receive appropriate permission. Otherwise, they will find severe criminal punishment and large fines, ”FSC said.

The regulator added that crypto-investors can check whether the operator with whom they make transactions registered by a business operator on the website of financial intelligence units (FIU).

At the beginning of the month, the FSC made a statement that from a legal point of view, the South Korean crypto officers were not ready to work with foreign assets and investors.
