An argument between a man dressed as a cow and a woman wearing a panda hat got out of hand, turned into a fight involving people passing by on the street and started a series of attacks.
The case only ended after those involved stopped at the police station. The case took place on Friday night (28), in Copacabana, south of Rio de Janeiro.
Initially, the suspicion was that it was an attempted robbery. According to the Military Police, agents of the 19th BPM were called by people and arrested a man on Avenida Princesa Isabel.
He, who was wearing a cow costume, was accused of trying to steal a woman’s backpack. As reported to the PM, she would have reacted to the approach and, in the wake, the man ended up assaulted by people who were around the scene.
The suspect was sent to the UPA (emergency care unit) in the neighborhood to treat the injuries and then taken to the 12th DP to register the incident. After listening to the accused, witnesses and others involved in the confusion, the Civil Police concluded that there was no attempted theft or assault.
“According to investigations and statements, there was a disagreement between a man and a woman. She made a joke with him, who was dressed as a cow. The man also went to play with the woman because she was wearing a panda hat and the quarrel began. In the confusion, he ended up being attacked by people who witnessed the scene”, informed the Civil Police.
