The Federal Police (PF) seized, this Tuesday (7), two firearms, R$ 22,000 in cash and a vehicle with adulterated identification signs.
The action was part of Operation Aliena Socium, which aimed to deepen investigations into a criminal group suspected of operating in drug trafficking in Guaratinguetá and Cruzeiro, in the Paraíba Valley, in São Paulo. During the day, six search and seizure warrants were carried out.
Investigations began in 2021 after a police inquiry was opened to investigate counterfeit currency crime. There are indications, according to the PF, that the suspects were also responsible for sending illicit substances to cities in the so-called Historic Valley, in addition to municipalities in the south of Minas Gerais.
If the suspicions are confirmed, those involved may respond for drug trafficking and association for trafficking.
