In new adventures the properties that housed the media group Kouri

of Matinas Harkoftaki

For many years they hosted the publishing and broadcasting activities of the media group of the brothers Giorgos and Makis Kouris, who left their own mark on the domestic media.

The reason for the facilities in Tavros that in the past were the flagship of the publishing and television ventures of George Kouris, among which, the newspaper Avriani and Kanali 29.

On March 23, the hammer is expected to sound once again for two properties, which are connected with businesses of the Kouri family.

The facilities-flagship of Press-Greece

The first concerns the facilities of Press-Hellas Hellenic Publishing and Printing, the company which essentially marked the beginning of the activities of George Kouris in Athens, while in previous decades it was the “home” for television and radio stations.

The first offer price has been set at 1.635 million euros with Special Financial Solutions rushing, as the legal representative in Greece and manager of the claims of Como Issuer Dac.

The amount for which the seizure was imposed amounts to 500 thousand euros while the debtor is Press-Hellas, which was established in 1973 and appears to be based at 37 Dimitros Street, at the same address where the property is located, which is put up for auction.

Specifically, this is a plot, even and buildable, with a total area of 1,868 sq.m., which is located at Platania or Estavromeni on 37 Dimitros Street (former 11) in the municipality of Tavros Moschato.

A building has been erected on this plot, which consists of a basement of 1,400 sq.m., ground floor of 980 sq.m., first floor of 1,080 sq.m., second floor of 980 sq.m. and surface roof of 60 sq.m. in which, as indicated in the assessment report, a television station was operating, which is no longer operating.

In addition, the report states that the building “was found closed and therefore it was not possible to describe its interior, while it goes on to point out that” its condition from a general external autopsy is of mediocre construction, taking into account that it was built around 1975 “.

The property that comes out again at 31 Dimitros Street

This is not the only property that goes under the hammer on March 23 and is connected to the Kouri family as the building, located a little further down, at 31 Dimitros and owned by the company Nikiki Ekdotikis Niki, is also being auctioned.

With the first offer price set at 1.115 million euros and with the hasty Special Financial Solutions, the amount of the debt amounts to 85,000 euros, which is part of a total debt of 1,520,537 euros.

This is a plot of land, which extends over an area of 1,323 sq.m., on which a building complex has been constructed, which, according to the assessment report, consists of two main building volumes:

One includes the construction of the craft spaces and offices, in which the publishing and broadcasting activities of the Kouri complex were installed and operated during the last 20 years, while the second building volume, which was built later, includes only the staircase and the elevator, which serve vertical communication between floors.

The above two buildings have a basement, ground floor, three floors above the ground floor and a roof. According to the report, this property is in good condition and has floors with ceramic tiles and modern aluminum frames in the superstructure.

Arbitrariness

Regarding the legality and the time of construction of each section, the first building was built with a building permit in 1991, which was revised a year later due to a change in its location on the plot.

Subsequently, the building permit was issued for the construction of a new building, east of the existing one and in contact with it, while with a 1993 permit, a single second floor of 570.18 sq.m. was added to the two existing buildings, however this building permit did not was found in the archives of Tavros – Moschato town planning.

In addition, it was planned to create an underground parking lot in the uncovered area of the western part of the plot, which was not constructed, while office space and TV studios were created in its place, which served the activities developed by the Kouri group during that period.

No building permit was found for these constructions and therefore they are considered arbitrary. No building permit was found despite the meticulous, as the assessment report points out, search in the archives of Tavros – Moschato Urban Planning, for the third floor, which was built over the two existing buildings in contact, as well as for the stair-elevator built in the west. part of the plot with the specific constructions, therefore, to be considered arbitrary.
