In Karachay-Cherkessia found illegal miners

In Karachay-Cherkessia, employees of the Office of Economic Security and Countering the Corruption of the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs stopped the work of three crypto farms, said Irina Volk, official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Objects consumed electricity bypassing the counters, writes RBC Crypto.

In one case, the attacker rented a non -residential premises on the outskirts of the village and installed 186 miners in it. In the design of the counter, he made changes for uncontrolled electricity consumption.

For three months, the damage from this farm amounted to more than 4.1 million rubles. From the suspect, they took a subscription about the lower right to leave.

Later, law enforcement officers discovered two more mining farms. One of them was built underground on a rented area near the Ersakon village. There were 25 devices.

Another mining farm was found in a metal booth on a livestock farm. The police seized 36 miners. In both cases, farms also consumed electricity bypassing metering devices.

It is not the first time that black miners are found in the republic, which include those who use the “zero socket”, that is, they do not pay for electricity. Unlike them, gray miners are those who are not registered in the Federal Tax Service Register and pays for electricity according to ordinary tariffs.

However, from January 1 of this year, mining is completely prohibited by the spring of 2031 on part of Russia’s territories. Karachay-Cherkessia is included in the list of these regions.
