THE European Commission decided on the extraordinary financing of the member states of the European Union for the migratory with the total amount of 258.9 million euros for 2023. From this total amount, Greece secured funding of 42.4 million euros, for two proposals he submitted and which were approved.
The proposals concern:
- The development of optical fibers and software to improve the exchange of data between border stations and
- Foster care/family and community care and semi-independent living arrangements for teenagers.
Greece secured the largest amount of funding of any other member state:
More specifically, the breakdown by country is as follows: Bulgaria (37.3 million euros), Latvia (33.4 million euros), Croatia (29.9 million euros), Italy 28.8 million euros), Cyprus 23.03 million euros), Lithuania (19 million euros), Hungary (17.3 million euros), Spain (9.57 million euros), Poland (7.85 million euros), Slovakia (5 .2 million euros) and Belgium (5.08 million euros).
