In Cannes, fringes are the real hair trend of summer 2021

Fringes have never been more popular. Seen and overwhelmed on Instagram and TikTok and become the trendiest hair accessory of the post lockdow, today the fringes return to center stage on the Cannes red carpet, chosen by the showbiz divas. See the wonderful mom and daughter Jane Birkin e Charlotte Gainsbourg, which were photographed with the famous curtaing bangs with a Seventies mood, worn longer by Charlotte, who leaves it open on the forehead, unlike Birkin, who keeps the extra long fringe in a central position.

Whether it is maxi or mini, parade or full, asymmetrical or compact, the great value of the fringe is that frames the face and enhances it. It is enough to respect some precautions of proportion and harmony, relying on the sensitivity of a good hairstylist. But let’s now turn to the most beautiful fringes seen (so far) in Cannes.

LE FRANGE DI CANNES: VINCE IL MOOD VINTAGE-CHIC
You will hear a lot about her: her name is Angela and is the belgian singer and pianist most loved by Chanel, who wanted her as the face of the 2021 eye collection, shot by Solve Sundsbo. In Cannes, Angèle wore one Brigitte Bardot fringe, full and rounded, very sixties, combined with super fluffy wheat blonde hair, gathered from a Chanel flannel (yes, yes). Short bangs, geometric and decisive for the charismatic director Andrea Arnold, which brings her to match with very long and very blond hair, of the series, feminine, but with personality to sell. The model and actress Lou Doillon, daughter of Jane Birkin and director Jacques Doillon, follows in the footsteps of her mother and sister Charlotte and marries the fringe look, in her case full and carried with very wavy hair and vaguely wild. Last but not least, Sophie Marceau, which looks half her age (54) with shoulder-length shag cut paired with soft styled curtain fringe and not set at all. We understand that the fringe is very much appreciated by European artists, what do you think?
