This Thursday (18), fans of the sertanejo received the news that the sisters Simone and Simaria are ending the successful duo of “feminejo” to pursue a solo career.
While Simone will alone fulfill the rest of the schedule of shows that were already scheduled, Simaria announced a temporary withdrawal from the stage to take care of her children and her vocal condition.

Sandy and Junior

Sandy and Junior was one of the most famous duos in the history of national entertainment. The children of country singer Xororó and businesswoman Noely Lima made their first public appearance on the “Som Brasil” program in 1989.
From a father-influenced country beginnings to the pop hits of the turn of the millennium, Sandy & Junior has amassed 12 studio albums and more than 20 million copies sold.
In 2007, they announced the end of the duo, justified by the desire of both to express themselves individually.
The duo even returned in 2019 on a tour to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their first televised performance, but they pointed out that the shows would not mark a definitive comeback.
Victor and Leo

Together they amassed five Grammy Awards and 14 nominations.
OutKast

OutKast was a duo formed by rappers Andre 3000 and Big Boi in the 1990s.
The project was considered one of the most successful in hip hop history. His album “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below”, released in 2003, sold over 10 million copies alone.
With hits like “Hey Ya” and “Ms. Jackson” they racked up awards and topped the charts and critics’ lists.
Despite having already reunited for a few performances, the rappers insist the project will not return.
The White Stripes
The American duo consisting of Jack White and Meg White was formed in 1997 in Detroit.
With the striking “red, black and white” aesthetic, the project was recognized worldwide for the raw sound of Jack’s guitar and Meg’s drums.
In 2003, they released their biggest commercial success “White Blood Cells”. The album’s single “Seven Nation Army”, which was marked as one of the best-known guitar riffs in history.
The project was terminated in 2011 for “a myriad of reasons”, as the band’s statement stated.
