Ibirapuera Park reopened this Sunday morning (5) after being closed on Friday afternoon (3), due to the heavy rains that hit the capital of São Paulo.
At the time, the 35th São Paulo Biennial, which takes place there, had to be interrupted. In a statement, the Bienal informed that it will operate normally between 10am and 7pm this Sunday.
Urbia Parques – responsible for managing Ibirapuera – clarified that some areas of the park will remain isolated as a security measure. Are they:
- playground
- Sensory garden
- Slope of laziness
- Centaur Arena
- Sabiá Restaurant (open only for counter service and takeout)
- Alameda da Ponte de Ferro
- bamboo grove
- Some garden areas
Also according to Urbia, Parque Eucaliptos, located in the Campo Limpo neighborhood, south of São Paulo, will remain closed this Sunday for maintenance.
The Tenente Brigadeiro Faria Lima, Jacintho Alberto, Jardim Felicidade and Lajeado parks – all under the control of Urbia – continue to operate normally.
