The federal deputy and son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), stated that he believes that the far-right candidate Javier Milei will be elected president of Argentina this Sunday (22), when the first electoral round in the country.
Eduardo traveled to the country neighboring Buenos Aires to accompany Nahuel Sotelo, candidate from the same party as Milei, La Libertad Avanza, at the time of the vote.
The trip is also in support of Milei, he said in a statement to the press. For the Brazilian deputy, the presidential candidate is “the only one different from the entire caste”.
On social media, the Brazilian deputy also expressed support for Milei, publishing a drawing in which the Argentine, Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro were portrayed.
Still speaking to the press, Eduardo Bolsonaro took the opportunity to condemn Hamas’ attacks on Israel, in the Middle East: “It’s a genocide”.
Last week, former president Jair Bolsonaro also declared support for Milei, sending a video that was published on the Argentine candidate’s own social media.
The results of the first round of elections in Argentina should begin to be announced late this Sunday night. Milei hopes to win in the first round, but there is a possibility that he will go to the second, on November 19, with government leader Sergio Massa.
Also in contention for the second electoral round is the right-wing candidate, but more moderate than Milei, Patricia Bullrich.
Milei was the candidate with the most votes in the Argentine primaries, with more than 30% of the votes.
