I need Swisstainable, a journey to the sustainable heart of Switzerland

The one promoted by Switzerland Tourism through the exhibition I need Swisstainable. Open to the public until 29 Maythe exhibition, hosted in the spaces of House of Switzerland to Milan, is a multisensory journey aimed at telling the approach green to travel declined in a multiplicity of aspects: from the protection of the landscape to the enhancement of culture and local products, from the use of public transport to the encounter with people who pass on centuries-old customs and traditions.

A real dive into the culture of the country, which makes itself known to visitors from its most side green. The exhibition, conceived by the Arabeschi di Latte / Francesca Sarti studio, is organized as a sort of aarchive of objects, scents, sounds, images illustrating Switzerland’s natural and cultural heritage and projects to preserve these assets for future generations. By tasting, listening and observing the typical features of each region, visitors can collect valuable insights to then explore cities and mountains immersed in nature.

The path is divided into five areas to taste, hear, see, feel and touch what philosophy is Swisstainable:

  • WATER BAR with spring water tasting and video installation by Johanna Hullar
  • ARCHIVE WALL, a journey between destinations through artifacts, data and curiosities.
  • CONNECTION & SOUND WALL, an audiovisual story dedicated to panoramic trains and the most widespread transport network in the world.
  • FOOD ARCHIVE to discover the biodiversity and gastronomy of Ticino, the Region of Bern and Geneva.
  • OLFACTORY STATION, an olfactory encounter with Swiss nature that regenerates and fills with energy.
