With this guideline, the Human Resources area develops programs to strengthen the employee’s journey, from the selection process, integration, development, movement of people and offboarding.

“Our selection process seeks diversity, cultural fit, beliefs and behaviors. In other words, we are looking for people with different opinions, experiences and skills that add value to our people”, explains Elcio Trajano Jr., director of Human Resources, Sustainability and Communication, at Eldorado Brasil Celulose.

Evaluation results

The company’s people management is aimed at creating an environment of continuous learning and knowledge exchange, where everyone has equal opportunities to grow and develop their skills. To achieve this, ADL (performance assessment and cultural adherence) is applied, during which we analyze behaviors, attitudes and opportunities for development.

“Based on this assessment, we can identify which characteristics and expertise can be used to enhance the professional’s performance, going beyond technical aspects, to advance the agenda of human development – ​​which is what sets our team apart,” says Trajano.

All programs aimed at valuing people generate opportunities for a broad movement of people. To give you an idea, more than 500 people were promoted in the company in 2023.

Linked to this initiative, there is the individual development plan, which can help the employee’s career. “Through this and other projects, it is possible to build a solid culture of learning, innovation and experimentation”, says the director.

These activities prepare professionals to take on more responsibilities, helping them to develop the necessary skills to effectively perform their new roles. For example, the Leadership Journey program is a schedule of face-to-face and online meetings to prepare new managers and successors in the behavioral skills necessary for effective team management.

To encourage the spirit of continuous learning, Eldorado Brasil maintains programs such as “Mais Saber”, whose purpose is to offer a space for exchanging knowledge, aiming to broaden perspectives on professional, cultural and well-being aspects. In other words, improving human performance. Another highlight is “Eldorado Educa”, a digital platform with a menu of more than 70 courses for developing technical and behavioral skills.

Importance of shared values

Adherence to organizational values, ownership attitude, determination, discipline, availability, frankness, humility and simplicity, is reinforced by the company on a daily basis. But it is during the Culture Day that the theme appears as a strategic reinforcement.
