Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson married: all the guests at the wedding of the Dukes of Westminster

It has been defined by many British tabloids “the wedding of the year”, the one between Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, e Olivia Henson, and it certainly was in the United Kingdom, due to the rank of his family, always very close to Buckingham Palace, and the guests at the Chester Cathedral, where the ceremony was held. There were 400 of them, all of high rank.

Among the very first to arrive, the prince William of England, usher of the groom. This is an official task, which consists of welcoming guests; a sort of witness with special powers. The heir to the throne arrived just before 12pm British time, alone.

Absent, as expected, is his wife Kate Middleton, who is undergoing preventive chemotherapy after a cancer diagnosis, and her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, are regularly at school. Someone, in reality, had hypothesized a role for George, given that Hugh Grosvenor is among his godfathers, but in the end the gossip proved to be baseless, like many that circulate around the royal family. There was, however, Eugenie of Yorksecond daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, accompanied by her long-time friend Violet Henderson, former editor of Vogue.

With her, the other three daughters: Lady Edwina Grosvenorin a total powder pink look, Lady Tamara Grosvenor, with a flowered dress, and Lady Viola Grosvenor, in red. Lady Tamara also got married in Chester Cathedral: it was 2004 and Queen Elizabeth II also attended the wedding with Edward Van Cutsem.

The wedding of Hughie, as the Duke of Westminster is known in the family, did not have this honor, but most of the guests were part of the aristocracy. There was, for example, Thomas van Straubenzeegreat friend of William and teacher of Prince George, with his wife Lucy, and his brother, Charlie, accompanied by his wife Daisy.
