Hotel in Acapulco from the series “Chaves” is destroyed after hurricane in Mexico

The famous Emporio Acapulco hotel, which served as the setting for the series “Chaves”, in the famous episode “We All Go to Acapulco”, was destroyed by the hurricane that hit the city last Wednesday (25), with winds of 265 km/h .

On social media, guests shared images of the hotel’s interior, where all the characters from the Mexican program were once present, such as Chaves, Chiquinha, Kiko and Seu Madruga.

“Friends, we are fine, but I must accept that by a miracle. Everything is destroyed”, wrote guest Raymundo Ceja, in his personal profile.

The Emporio Acapulco hotel issued a note this Friday (27), providing updates on the situation.

“In light of the events caused by the passage of Hurricane Otis, we want to communicate that at Hotel Emporio Acapulco all our guests and employees are well, we provide a safe space and the attention possible to guarantee the well-being of all people in our facilities ”, they stated.

“During these days, we strictly followed the natural disaster protocols established by Civil Protection. This also allowed us to quickly begin assessing the possible impacts the hurricane has left behind,” they wrote.

“We are doing everything in our power to restore our facilities and so that we can soon return to providing our services with the love and quality that has always characterized us. Our priority is to ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, employees and visitors”, they declared.
