Few things in life are as pleasant as having a hotel breakfast. With that in mind, this month’s column brings 5 fantastic breakfasts at the best hotels in Curitiba all also open to the general public.
In addition to offering a large number of options for dishes, for the most diverse tastes, hotel cafes have another great differential: the opening hours.
All are offered from 6 or 6:30 am, so you can start your day early, before your daily appointments, and make the most of a special occasion.
Kore at Qoya Hotel
The newest hotel on this list has a breakfast worthy of a movie, with an extensive buffet beautifully presented, with numerous fruits already cut, great cheeses and sausages – including a clothesline of Parma ham.
There are also naturally fermented breads; yogurts; cereals and sweets. If that wasn’t enough, there is also an à la carte menu also included in the price per person, with many delicious options such as eggs benedict, toasted brioche with mollet egg, cream cheese from Serra da Canastra and fresh oregano (my favorite!), baguette on plate with tomato and cream cheese, croque monsieur and octopus omelet with potato and Bottarga.
Of the sweet options, the Coconut Foam with Passion Fruit and Mint is unmissable, light, not too sweet, for us to almost believe that we are not committing the sin of gluttony. We also have the perfect almond croissant, the sensational pancake with salted caramel sauce and peach shrub and the natural yogurt with granola, fennel, honey and berries, so beautiful that we are sorry to eat.
On the table also comes a basket of warm breads, and coffee and milk. In addition, there are several options of coffees, hot chocolate and smoothies to order from the à la carte menu.
My suggestion is to arrive early to get a seat at the tables with sofas next to the window, super comfortable and intimate, and also to be able to enjoy the hearty meal in time. the vPrice per person is R$90.
Av. Sete de Setembro, 4211 – Batel, Curitiba – PR / Telephone (41) 3340-4000 / Every day from 6 am to 10 am. No reservation needed.
Nomad at Nomaa Hotel
One of the most famous breakfasts in Curitiba, Nomade also has a small buffet and an à la carte menu, included in the price per person.
The great differential of this breakfast is the perfection in the execution of the dishes. The scrambled eggs are creamy, uniform, the best I’ve ever had. The omelet is silky, clear, as a technically correct omelet should be, with no signs of that external golden brown we usually see elsewhere.
The star of the menu, however, is the grilled brioche with mushrooms, poached egg, toasted bacon and Grana Padano cheese foam. It’s always an unparalleled emotion to break that soft yolk and see it running down the plate.
From the à la carte menu it is still possible to order tapioca, flat bread with butter, waffles, cheese bread, sandwiches and drinks, such as the delicious banana with natural yogurt, honey and tonca bean.
You can sit in the indoor lounge, but I recommend booking a table on the veranda, which is more intimate, bright and full of greenery. Price per person R$ 89.
Gutenberg, 168 – Batel, Curitiba – PR / Telephone (41) 3087-9510 / Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 6:30 am to 8:30 am. It is necessary to book by WhatsApp (41) 99964-2130, by email [email protected] or fur site.
Radisson Hotel
One of the most complete buffets in town, at the best value. It brings items like bacon strips, waffles, tapioca dice and…. Queijadinha. And it’s not just any cheesecake, this one is really delicious.
Scrambled eggs are available at the buffet, but you can order other made-to-order egg preparations, as well as tapioca.
The butter available is French, of great quality. There are cakes, yogurts, countless fruits, breads of different types, juices and an item that I love and haven’t found anywhere else – coconut water.
Tip: don’t get too carried away on the first course, to make room for sweets like cueca-virada, honeymoon and carolina de dulce de leche. Price per person is R$ 52.80.
Av. September 7, 5190 – Batel, Curitiba – PR / Telephone (41) 3351-2222 / Monday to Friday from 6 am to 10 am, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 6 am to 10:30 am. No need to book.
NH Hotel The Five
One of the most cozy and sophisticated environments for a special breakfast, especially if you choose the tables on the wall under the skylights.
It has a full buffet with lots of breads, fruits, cereals, ingredients for making sandwiches and tapiocas, cold cuts, juices, coffees and teas. From the kitchen, you can order various egg preparations.
The highlight of this breakfast is the sweets. There are items such as pastel de nata, dried fruit jam, crème anglaise, chestnuts and dulce de leche, waffles with different sauces and the absolutely obligatory banana cream cake. Even if you are not a fan of sweets, nor a fan of bananas, believe me, you will not be able to stop eating. Value per person R$ 63.80.
Nunes Machado, 68 – Centro, Curitiba – PR / Phone: (41) 3434-9400 / Every day from 6:30 am to 10 am. No need to book.
Grand Mercure Curitiba Rayon
One of the most traditional hotels in Curitiba offers a buffet breakfast in a classic atmosphere. You can request the preparation of an omelet with several options of fillings, as well as sweet and savory tapiocas.
Great French butter and great croissant, both in the traditional version and in the chocolate version. Price per person R$ 62.
