People in a street situation felt sick early this Friday (19) after eating lunchboxes donated in the downtown region of São Paulo. At least five people showed symptoms of food poisoning after eating food distributed by a person in a black Kombi, in Praça da Sé.
According to a note from the city hall, one of the homeless residents approached agents of the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) reporting that he had severe abdominal pain and nausea.
The Regional Health Coordination Center (CRS), an agency of the Municipal Health Secretariat, assisted five people with the same symptoms, characteristic of food poisoning, two adults and three children. They were sent to the Vergueiro Emergency Care Unit (UPA).
One of the adults has already been discharged. The other remains under observation with the children in the unit, with a stable health condition.
All will be accompanied by the Basic Health Unit (UBS) República and, if necessary, children can be referred to the Psychosocial Care Center (Caps) for Children and Adolescents (IJ) III Sé.
